Workshop Description:

The workshop concludes with a professionally designed class anthology, perfect for portfolios or school projects.

Workshop Content:

Session 1: Story Foundations

  • Genre Exploration: Fantasy, mystery, sci-fi.
  • Plot Brainstorming: Use prompts like “A door that only opens at midnight.”
  • Interactive Activity: Write a 100-word story hook.

Session 2: Character & Conflict

  • Character Development: Flaws, goals, and motivations.
  • Creating Tension: Betrayal, secrets, or unexpected twists.
  • Interactive Activity: Role-play character interviews (“What’s your biggest regret?”).

Session 3: Drafting & Feedback

  • Writing Techniques: Show vs. tell, dialogue tags, pacing.
  • Peer Review: Use “2 Stars & 1 Wish” feedback method.
  • Interactive Activity: Revise drafts based on peer input.

Session 4: Publish & Present

  • Formatting Stories: Use Canva/Google Docs for a sleek anthology.
  • Author Bios & Titles: Craft engaging summaries.
